What is the importance of recognizing that this is addressed to all men and not just the nation of Israel? (v.1)

What is the evidence that we are in these evil days and that holiness is not in the created day but only in the Lord of the Sabbath who sanctified his eternal Day where there is neither morning nor evening?

And what are we to look to that the world does not, that we may escape these days of adversity? And how will the redeemed soul escape the iniquity and shame that surrounds it? What is the one thing that the hungry and thirsty soul needs? (v.5)

Therefore when the man of this world looks to his own image to redeem himself, what is he? (v.6, 12-14, 20)

What is this (honor) that he seeks to redeem himself with? And therefore, why can't he redeem himself with this false honor? (v.7-9)

But what is the man who continues in his father's created image? (v.13)

Why are the translators wrong to render the Hebrew noun (tsone) as sheep when it is to be rendered flock, which can speak of sheep and goats? (v.14)

Isaiah 53:1–3 (NKJV)

1 Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? 2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him. 3 He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

And what is the application of this doctrine of the man of dust? (v.16-20)

Matthew 10:28–29 (NKJV)

28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will.

Luke 12:4–7 (NKJV)

4 "And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. 5 But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him! 6 "Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. 7 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

Will not God give such worthless men in exchange to keep the soul of the one who trusts Christ alone for his saving grace? (v.18-19)

24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. 26 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
